UrinDx (ur-in-dex) turns on by connecting to the Starling Mobile App.
The device will connect and wake up when the mobile app is within range to the device. The range is typically less than 10 ft, but may depend on your bathroom setup. When your device is not in use, it will go into a battery saving mode.
The connection range can be impacted by wall thickness, older homes, or general layout of your home. Because of this, Starling has made the range customizable to meet your needs:
If you find your device is connected at all time, you can decrease your range.
If you find your device is not connecting when you bring your smartphone to the bathroom, you can increase your range.
The device will turn green once it’s ready for use! 🟢
Please make sure your phone’s bluetooth and location services are enabled.
