We understand that others may need to use the bathroom where UrinDx-Lite (pronounced ur-in-dex) is installed. There is no need to remove the device from the toilet for other users.
Step 1: Establishing Your Baseline
To begin, you will manually click "Capture Sample" in your Starling app. This allows the device to learn your unique spectral fingerprint. This can take a few weeks.
Step 2: Enabling Automatic Capture
Once we have learned your baseline, we can enable the "Automatic Capture" feature. This allows the device to automatically record your samples when it recognizes you are using it.
⚠️ The 10-Foot Rule
During the Automatic Capture phase, please ensure your smartphone is at least 10 feet away from the bathroom when other people are using the toilet.
Why? This prevents the device from mistakenly identifying you as the user when someone else's sample is processed.
Step 3: Confirming Your Samples
We’ve added a verification step to ensure only your samples count toward your results.
Navigate to the Home page of the app.
Review the sample confirmation window.
If the sample was not taken by you, simply select "Not Me."
Need to Correct a Mistake?
If you accidentally confirm the wrong sample, don’t worry! Please notify our Support team as soon as possible:
Website: Click the blue bubble on the bottom right-hand side of your screen.
App: Open the chat feature directly within the Starling app.
